Courville Residence

Located on a cul-de-sac street in the hills of Silver Lake, the project consists of the reconstruction of an older distressed detached garage built into the hillside of an existing descending slope. In conjunction with the reconstructed garage, the program included the addition of an art studio above the garage with a direct interior connection to the existing residence along the development of the hillside above to incorporate an outside terrace, spa and a small plunge pool. Additional architectural building forms were incorporated to aid in visually and physically connecting the addition to the existing residence.
